IMAC-XL

THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE OF SOUND AND VIBRATION  |  February 7–10, 2022  | Rosen Plaza Hotel  |  Orlando, FL

Overview

IMAC is a conference and exposition focusing on structural dynamics and has evolved to encompass the latest technologies supporting structural dynamics. This broad focus on structural dynamics includes topics in simulation and modeling, nonlinear dynamics, sensors, signal processing and control spanning the full range of engineering disciplines.

IMAC-XL will be an in-person event at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida, USA. Your safety and wellness are our number one priority. SEM will work diligently to follow all CDC guidance, including federal, state, and local health mandates at IMAC-XL. Mask wearing will be strongly encouraged while in the conference space. Social distancing will be built into room sets as much as is possible. The welcome reception will be held outside. Beyond these measures, the Rosen Plaza describes the measures the hotel is taking to protect guest health on their web site.

At this late stage, we are no longer able to move presentations to the virtual component. If you are slated to present in-person and are not able to attend in-person, please contact Jen Tingets at jen@sem.org.

Due to the difficulties surrounding international travel, there will be a virtual component to IMAC-XL. The virtual component of IMAC-XL will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, using zoom. It will be similar to our virtual IMAC-XXXIX. Presenters will be assigned a presentation time for them to make a 5-minute summary presentation of their work. Then, there will be 5-7 minutes of live Q&A with those present at the zoom meeting facilitated by a chair. Pre-recorded videos will be included in the conference app, Whova. All conference attendees, whether in-person or virtual, will have access to Whova.

In order to participate in the virtual component, you still need to register (and pay registration fees) for IMAC-XL. There is no cost difference for the virtual component.

IMAC remains a friendly conference where exhibitors, presenters and attendees spend several days exchanging the ideas that fuel the coming year.

IMPORTANT: To access the session Zoom links within Whova, go to Agenda and scroll to February 15. Zoom links will be available within the session description by clicking the session name not the individual paper listings.

Download the Official Event App - Whova

Whova is now live! Through the Whova app, paid registrants can access the latest schedule of events and all of the submitted video presentations. You can create your own custom schedule, see the Rosen Plaza hotel floor plan and connect with other attendees.

We urge all of you to download Whova to plan your day. Whova will have the only up-to-date schedule of presentations.

To access Whova, click the button below and create an account or log in. You must use the same email that you used to register for IMAC. A mobile version is also available.
