The 1st International Aerospace Symposium on Acoustic Fatigue (IASAF)
September 11 – September 13
The Symposium Chair is Professor Dimitris Drikakis, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK (email@example.com). Dr. Paolo Tiso, ETH, Zurich, Switzerland (firstname.lastname@example.org) is the Symposium Co-Chair.
The symposium is dedicated to bringing together specialists in fluid and structural mechanics to discuss recent developments in the field of aerospace acoustic fatigue, including predictive capabilities in the areas of computational modeling and experimental measurements.
The event offers a unique opportunity for both speakers and non-presenting attendees. An essential element of the motivation for this event is to facilitate focused, in-depth dialogue on how to best address the challenges associated with understanding, characterizing, and properly modeling, the demands imposed on aero-structural configurations exposed to multi-physics loading conditions. These include, for example, the conditions associated with extended-duration, in-atmosphere, high-speed flight and/or engine-exhaust-washed regions of airplanes that incorporate embedded engines for reasons of efficiency or survivability.
Potential speakers are asked to submit an abstract that is no longer than one A4 page in portrait layout and should contain the title, co-authors and affiliations. Abstracts should be sent via e-mail to the Symposium Chair no later than Wednesday 26 July 2017 to receive full consideration.
