Section: Experimental Techniques

In 2020, Experimental Techniques (ET) saw an impressive increase in its impact factor to 1.058. ET had a total of 326 submitted manuscripts with excellent representation from around the world. While this number is down slightly from the past few years, it is a very strong showing during the COVID pandemic which limited researchers time in their laboratories. In December we published a special issue on “New Frontiers and Innovative Methods for Hybrid Simulation”. We are actively seeking ideas and proposals for additional special issues and series; please just get in touch with the editor if you would like to discuss this. We added four new Technical Editors to round out our topic coverage, replace editors whose terms had ended, and reduce the high manuscript burden level on the editorial board. I would like to thank our Technical Editors, whose dedicated hard work is absolutely key to the success of the peer review process and of the journal as a whole: Masoud Allahkarami, Matt Allen, Javad Baqersad, Allison Beese, Yuanchang Chen, Alfredo Cigada, Aaron Forster, Cosme Furlong, Jeff Helm, Luciano Lamberti, Zhu Mao, Ricardo Mejia-Alvarez, Brian Owens, Paul Reynolds, Wei-Chung Wang, Justin Wilbanks, Caroline Winters, Yongfeng Xu, Xing Zhang, and Kristin Zimmerman.
